Vegan Personal Care: Better for our planet

Being a vegan would ordinarily be defined: “Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.”

A lot of you might be more familiar with dietary vegans, whom follow a plant-based diet and abstain from any animal-derived ingredients such as meat, dairy, eggs and honey.

Veganism is not only healthy but is a means of seeking an end to animal exploitation and also kind to the environment. Avoiding animal products is one of the most impactful ways in reducing your individual carbon footprint; 25% of land on our planet is used to grow crops for animal feed. When you begin to remove meat and animal-derived products from your diet and lifestyle, you're creating a healthy sustainable, responsible lifestyle for yourself and future generations.

Maybe start off by being a flexible vegan and work your way through. As important as it is to save the environment, it shouldn’t become a burden for you. Find your common ground.

Common Ground is vegan by being free of any animal-derived ingredients. Let Common Ground be a stepping stone to your plant-based lifestyle.
